Bill overview
This bill allows counties with a population of 700,000 or more to identify low-income zones and reduce or eliminate vehicle registration fees within those areas. It also permits these counties to create a regional allocation plan to direct registration fee revenue to specific transportation projects. Counties implementing these changes must annually report their effects to cities and the Legislative Assembly. The bill takes effect 91 days after the end of the legislative session.
