Bill overview
This bill requires the State Board of Education to periodically review and potentially revise the standards for school library services. To do this, the Superintendent of Public Instruction will consult with the state board and convene a group of experts, including teachers, librarian, administrators, and technology professionals, to gather input. Public hearings will be held to allow community members to provide feedback, and the state board will then decide whether to adopt, reject, or modify the proposed revisions, providing written reasons for any changes made.
