Bill overview
This bill would change how recall election notices are made public in California. It would require elections officials and the Secretary of State to redact the names and addresses of people supporting a recall before making the notice available to the public. Additionally, if there’s no newspaper of general circulation, the notice would also need to be posted on at least three internet websites. This aims to protect the privacy of supporters of a recall effort.
