Bill overview
This bill allows member public agencies within the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to temporarily assign proxy votes to representatives from other agencies when they are unable to attend board meetings. Representatives with only one voting slot can delegate their vote to another representative based on property valuation. The proxy authorization must be in writing, limited to six board meetings per year, and cannot grant the assigned representative any officer positions. This authorization will expire on January 1, 2030.
