Bill overview
This bill extends the time limit for filing lawsuits related to sexual assault in California. It allows victims of sexual assault that occurred on or after their 18th birthday to file claims even if the statute of limitations has expired, provided that the entity responsible engaged in a cover-up of the assault. The bill also clarifies that claims can be brought against the perpetrator of the assault and extends the revival period to December 31, 2027, with some exceptions.
