Bill overview
This bill requires the California Air Resources Board to create and update a comprehensive plan, known as a scoping plan, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions statewide. The plan must consider emissions from wildlands and forest fires and aims to achieve at least a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. It also directs the board to consult with various state agencies and consider best practices from other regions to ensure effective and cost-efficient strategies.
