Bill overview
This bill creates a new pathway for high school graduates to directly enroll in California State University (CSU) campuses through the CSU Direct Admission Program. Students who meet specific academic requirements and participate in a transcript-informed account system will be automatically admitted to a designated CSU campus. The bill also extends a dual admissions program, requiring students to complete an associate degree for transfer or another established transfer course within three years of community college enrollment, and mandates actions for community colleges to promote this program.
