Bill overview
This bill gives the Attorney General the authority to take legal action against contractors who fail to pay their workers the full amount of wages owed, ignore wage judgments, or violate court orders related to wage payments. The Attorney General must notify the Contractors State License Board before filing a lawsuit, and the Board can participate in the legal proceedings. A court can then order the registrar to suspend or revoke a contractor’s license as a result of these actions.
