Bill overview
This bill requires California’s Public Utilities Commission (PUC) to analyze significant voltage-related incidents experienced by customers of large electrical corporations. Specifically, each large corporation must conduct a study evaluating these incidents, which must include quantifying the frequency, causes, and impacts of voltage fluctuations that have resulted in at least $5,000 in damage to customer property. The PUC is then required to publish the study results on its website and report them to the legislature.
