Bill overview
This bill creates a voluntary tax contribution fund to support research into Parkinson’s disease. California residents will be able to designate a portion of their tax liability, exceeding their tax owed, to go towards this fund. The funds will be continuously appropriated to the State Department of Public Health to support the Richard Paul Hemann Parkinson’s Disease Program and related research efforts. The Franchise Tax Board will update tax forms to include this designation option.
