Bill overview
This bill requires businesses selling alcohol at large outdoor events (those with over 10,000 attendees) to take steps to prevent drink spiking. Starting July 1, 2026, these businesses must offer drug testing devices and lids for customer drinks, post a notice about drink spiking, and report suspected incidents to law enforcement or emergency services. First-time violations will result in a warning instead of a criminal charge.
