Bill overview
This bill updates California’s rules for school districts and community college districts when they contract out work currently done by classified employees. It requires contractors to offer benefits comparable to those given to direct hires, ensure contracted workers meet minimum qualifications, and compensate classified employees for the time spent in required training. Furthermore, it mandates that certain training, particularly those related to child abuse, suicide prevention, sexual harassment, or discrimination, must be conducted in person.
