Bill overview
This bill requires self-service storage facilities in California to provide renters with clear disclosures about their rental agreements. Starting January 1, 2026, rental agreements must include information about the length of the lease, any discounts or promotions offered, whether fees can change, and how to terminate the agreement. The disclosures must be prominently displayed and easily readable for renters.
