Bill overview
This bill creates a partnership between the Los Angeles Community College District and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) to improve public transportation access for students. It will provide free transit passes (GoPasses) to students, establish a student ambassador program within LA Metro to enhance security and rider assistance, and require the community college district to report on the program’s effectiveness. The bill also allocates $2.5 million in state funds to support these initiatives.
