Bill overview
This bill amends state law to remove a restriction placed on a parcel of land in Lynwood by the Department of Transportation. The parcel, formerly owned by the California Department of Transportation, was transferred to the City of Lynwood in 2016. The restriction required a portion of the property to be used exclusively for public purposes for 15 years. This bill allows the city to use the property without that restriction, potentially for different purposes.
