Overview
This bill requires the California Division of Workers’ Compensation to create standardized forms for requesting medical evaluations from qualified medical evaluators (QMEs) and for QMEs to submit their reports. The goal is to improve the clarity and consistency of the medical evaluation process within the workers’ compensation system. The Division must also adopt regulations to implement these changes by January 1, 2027.
