Overview
This bill requires chain restaurants in California to offer at least one children’s meal that meets specific nutrition standards. These standards limit calorie counts, sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar, and require the inclusion of servings of fruits, vegetables, dairy, and protein. Restaurants must also clearly identify these healthier options on their menus and provide employee training on how to comply with the new requirements.
