Overview
This bill limits the costs that California’s State Air Resources Board and the South Coast Air Quality Management District can impose through new regulations. Specifically, it prohibits either agency from adopting rules that would increase the cost of gasoline by more than two cents per gallon, add more than $2,000 to the cost of building a home, or add more than $5,000 to the cost of building a nonresidential building. Both agencies must submit data to the Legislature demonstrating compliance with these limits.
