Overview
This bill changes the requirements for green building certifications for state agencies undertaking new construction or major renovations. Currently, state agencies must aim for LEED Gold or higher. This bill allows them to alternatively pursue Three Green Globes or higher, or Two Green Globes, depending on the circumstances. The new requirements will take effect for projects initiated on or after January 1, 2027.
