Overview
This bill updates the process for contractors’ licenses in California to address outstanding tax liabilities. Specifically, it directs the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) to be able to request the suspension of a contractor’s license if the licensee hasn’t entered into an installment payment agreement with the CDTFA to resolve those liabilities. The bill also requires the CDTFA to notify the licensee of such a request and allows the CDTFA to create regulations for administering and enforcing these provisions, and updates the license application process to include a tax information disclosure authorization.
