Overview
This bill amends California’s Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) to address environmental reviews for projects located near overburdened communities. It requires an environmental impact report, negative declaration, or mitigated negative declaration for projects that develop, expand, or substantially modify industrial uses within 1/2 mile of these communities, effectively preventing statutory exemptions or ministerial reviews in those cases.
