This bill requires that at least one member of several state advisory groups and boards be a resident of the San Joaquin Valley. These groups include the State Board of Education, the Financial Solvency Standards Board for managed care, the Citizen’s Financial Accountability Oversight Committee for the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, and the California Veterans Board. The bill defines the San Joaquin Valley geographically to include eight counties in the region.
