Overview
This bill aims to help tenants in California maintain comfortable indoor temperatures in their rental units. It allows tenants to install portable cooling devices or use other non-mechanical cooling methods, like blackout curtains, to keep temperatures below 82 degrees Fahrenheit, provided they give the landlord 5 days’ notice.
