Bill overview
This bill changes how Tennessee reports on prisoners participating in work release programs. It requires workhouse wardens to regularly report to the judge who originally sentenced the prisoner about the prisoner’s behavior and financial progress during their work release. This increased reporting aims to provide judges with more up-to-date information on inmates’ progress while they are serving their sentences. The bill updates existing Tennessee Code sections related to workhouses and criminal sentences.
