Bill overview
This Oklahoma bill requires the State Department of Education to create and distribute resources about the atrocities of communism for use in grades six through twelve. Public schools must begin teaching these atrocities in the 2026-2027 school year, integrated into existing courses and focusing on the causes, consequences, and human cost of communist regimes. The Department of Education will also develop professional learning opportunities for teachers on this subject.
