This bill creates a revolving fund, the "Prison Acquisition Revolving Fund," to allow the Department of Corrections to purchase prisons and associated property and equipment from private contractors. The fund is not subject to annual fiscal year limitations and will be funded by designated monies. It also updates the list of facilities the Department of Corrections is authorized to maintain, including any new facilities acquired through this fund.
