Bill overview
This bill, the Rural Jobs Act, adjusts the rules for Oklahoma’s capital investment tax credits. It limits the total amount of state tax credits that can be awarded in a single year to $15 million, with an additional $200 million available through an expansion program starting July 1, 2025. The bill also clarifies eligibility requirements for rural funds and establishes a process for obtaining a Department opinion on the eligibility of a business for investment. It also sets an effective date for the changes and an emergency declaration.
