Bill overview
This bill requires Michigan public schools to provide students with information about organ, eye, and tissue donation. Starting in the 2026-2027 school year, school districts and academies are encouraged to offer a standardized presentation on donation programs, designed to be no longer than one class period. The presentation will include details about the Michigan Organ Donor Registry. Students can request an excused absence from the presentation if needed.
