Bill overview
This bill modifies a Michigan law regarding how state and local governments can receive federal funding for airport projects. Currently, these entities must first get approval from the Michigan Aeronautics Commission before applying for federal funds. This legislation removes that requirement, allowing them to directly apply for and receive federal funds for airport improvements, landings, and related facilities, provided they work through the commission and adhere to state and federal regulations.
