Bill overview
This bill establishes a pilot program to investigate the effects of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) on Michigan residents. The Department of Health will provide grants to a research institution to conduct blood testing and studies on qualified participants. Primary care physicians can inform individuals about the program, and the Department will create educational materials. Funding for the program will come from a dedicated state fund, and the Department will oversee its administration and reporting on the program's progress.
