Bill overview
This bill modifies Michigan’s vehicle code to allow motorcycles to filter, or move between lanes of traffic, under certain conditions. Specifically, a motorcycle can pass between lanes of traffic on a two-lane road if there are at least two adjacent lanes in the same direction, the motorcycle is traveling no faster than 15 mph, and the maneuver is deemed safe. Local governments can also create ordinances regulating the use of electric personal assistive mobility devices, electric skateboards, and commercial quadricycles on sidewalks and streets.
