Bill overview
This law creates a program to provide child care assistance to eligible members of the Michigan National Guard. The program, called the ‘Michigan National Guard child care assistance act,’ aims to support National Guard families by offering financial aid for childcare. It is administered by the adjutant general and is contingent on sufficient funds being available in the Michigan National Guard member benefit fund. The act also requires the enactment of Senate Bill 542 and House Bill 4962 before it takes effect.
