Bill overview
This bill modifies the fees charged for licensing adult foster care facilities in Michigan. Initially, the bill sets lower application fees for temporary licenses through December 31, 2019, based on the size of the facility. Starting January 1, 2022, these fees are significantly increased for all facility types, including family homes, small and large group homes, congregate facilities, and camps. The bill also establishes a dedicated fund to hold these fees and directs them to be used for the enforcement of adult foster care regulations.
