Bill overview
This bill changes the rules for the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules, allowing a member of the committee that schedules a hearing to also call that hearing. Currently, only the committee chairperson can initiate a hearing. The bill clarifies that the committee can hold hearings on rules submitted to them, previously filed rules, or other topics they deem relevant, and requires a concurring majority from both the Senate and House for committee action.
