Bill overview
This bill requires Michigan school districts, intermediate school districts, and public school academies to make certain student data more accessible to parents. Specifically, it mandates that these entities post a link to a ‘parent dashboard’ on their websites and provide an annual summary of student performance data, including assessment results, to each student’s parent or guardian. The state’s education data website will also be expanded to include more comprehensive information and allow for comparisons between schools.
