Bill overview
House Bill 4395 amends the Occupational Code to allow barbers to provide services outside of their licensed shops to veterans at veteran service organizations and for demonstrations. It creates a temporary permit for barbers to offer services at these locations and a demonstration permit for those not licensed in Michigan. The bill also clarifies that ‘veteran service organization’ is defined as a veteran-led nonprofit supporting veterans. This bill is contingent on the passage of House Bill 4394.
