Bill overview
This bill would allow the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to provide opioid antagonists, like naloxone, to life support agencies. These agencies, which respond to emergency medical situations, would be able to equip their vehicles with the antagonists at no cost. The goal is to help reduce the number of opioid-related overdoses in Michigan by making these medications more readily available during emergencies. This amendment modifies existing public health code regulations.
