Bill overview
This bill establishes a new program in Michigan to reimburse members of the Michigan National Guard for Tricare premium costs. The program, administered by the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, will provide grants to eligible National Guard members who have individual health insurance coverage through either the Tricare Reserve Select program or the Tricare Dental Program. Eligible recipients must apply for reimbursement through a form provided by the department. The department will then create and implement the program’s rules through a formal rulemaking process.
