Bill overview
This bill extends an existing exemption under Michigan’s Residential Housing Facilities Act. Currently, new exemptions are not allowed after December 31, 2027, but exemptions already in place will remain valid until their certificates expire. This legislation effectively pauses the creation of new exemptions while maintaining the operation of existing ones. It modifies a section of a previous law (2022 PA 237) to clarify this extension.
