Bill overview
This bill requires health insurers in Michigan to provide the Department of Health and Human Services with information about their medical malpractice insurance policies specifically related to perinatal care services. The Department will then use this data to conduct a study, as mandated by the Public Health Code, to assess the costs and risks associated with these services. This information is to be provided upon request to the Department. The bill is contingent on the passage of Senate Bill 29.
