Bill overview
This bill changes the rules for suspending liquor retailer licenses in Michigan. If a retailer repeatedly fails to pay wholesalers, resulting in dishonored payments, the Liquor Control Commission can suspend their license for 14 days. This action is triggered when a retailer has six or more dishonored payments to a wholesaler within a 12-month period, as determined by a financial institution. The bill amends existing liquor control code to include this new provision.
