Overview
This bill amends Alabama’s tax code to further distribute sales and use tax funds. Specifically, it adjusts how funds are allocated to the Department of Revenue, the Department of Human Resources, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and the Education Trust Fund. A portion of the tax revenue is earmarked for state parks improvements, foster children programs, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). The bill also modifies the distribution of taxes collected from remote sales and use tax transactions.
