Overview
This bill changes how wills are handled in Montgomery County, Alabama. It allows individuals residing in the county to file their wills directly with the Judge of Probate. The Judge of Probate will then record the will, its filing date, and maintain a public docket for the will’s record while keeping the file confidential to authorized individuals. A fee may be charged for filing a will.
