Overview
This bill increases the annual expense allowance for the Sheriff of Tuscaloosa County. Starting June 1, 2026, the Sheriff will receive an additional $36,000 per year, paid monthly from the county’s general fund. This allowance is intended to cover retirement contributions and is in addition to existing compensation. The change will take effect on June 1, 2026, and will expire upon a vacancy in the Sheriff’s office.
