Overview
This bill authorizes Wilcox County to increase its ad valorem tax rate to replace an expiring tax levy. Specifically, the county commission can raise the rate up to 19 mills on each dollar of assessed value, with the additional revenue split between the county general fund and the Wilcox County Board of Education. Voter approval is required for the increased tax rate to take effect.
