Overview
This bill authorizes Autauga County, Alabama, to collect an additional sales and use tax of 0.5% and a new rental tax of 3% on the leasing or renting of tangible personal property. Both taxes would begin on September 1, 2026, and the revenue generated from each would be deposited into the county general fund. The county commission will be responsible for administering the rental tax.
