Overview
This bill allows public transportation authorities in Alabama counties with a population of 600,000 or more to participate in business organizations related to transit operations, land acquisition, and other related activities. It also authorizes these authorities to create subsidiaries, secure loans for business ventures, and operate without the power of eminent domain. The bill makes revisions to existing code to align with these new authorizations and establishes a citizens advisory board to provide guidance.
