Overview
This bill creates a fund to support free and reduced-price breakfast and lunch programs in Alaska’s public schools. It establishes the ‘Public School Reduced-Price Meal Fund’ and directs a portion of the Permanent Fund Dividend to this fund. Individuals who file their dividend application electronically can choose to contribute to this fund, as well as other designated organizations and funds. The bill also outlines how the fund will be distributed to school districts and includes a coordination fee for organizations receiving contributions.
