An Act relating to notice of new fees and fee increases from the University of Alaska; relating to billing statements from the University of Alaska; and providing for an effective date.

This bill, the Student Fee Transparency Act, requires the University of Alaska to provide students with clear notice before implementing new mandatory fees or increasing existing ones. It mandates that the Board of Regents notify students via email about the fee changes, including the amount, reason, and how the revenue will be used, at least 30 days in advance. Furthermore, the bill requires the University to provide students with itemized billing statements that clearly show all tuition and fees.
