Overview
This bill increases the number of judges in Alaska’s Third Judicial District, which currently has 28 judges. The legislation amends the Alaska Statutes to raise this number to 29. The judicial council will also determine where newly appointed judges will reside and serve. The changes will take effect on July 1, 2026.
